Field Sales Executive

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on connecting with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions that drive business growth. You will be at the forefront of engaging both new and existing customers, ensuring their satisfaction while achieving ambitious revenue targets.

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with both new and existing clients to understand their current and future requirements, proposing suitable solutions that align with their business objectives.
  • Achieve territory revenue budgets by identifying opportunities for growth within your assigned area and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Maintain regular contact with assigned customers through scheduled calls, acting as the primary point of contact to ensure optimal levels of service are delivered at all times.
  • Develop long-term business relationships by understanding client decision-making processes, buying criteria, and objectives, positioning the organisation as their preferred supplier.
  • Negotiate pricing and volume discounts in line with company policy while collaborating with internal support teams to ensure customer retention and continued business growth.
  • Identify and secure new business through proactive cold calling, following up on referrals and leads, and staying informed about competitor strategies in the market.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, coordinate the creation of sales proposals, tenders, bids, contracts, and account management plans tailored to client needs.
  • Participate in sales promotions, campaigns, and events designed to increase brand awareness and generate new business opportunities within your territory.
  • Handle customer complaints confidently and knowledgeably, taking all necessary actions to resolve issues promptly while maintaining composure and protecting company interests.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across various departments—including sales support, telesales, customer service, operations, IT, finance—to promote a positive team spirit and uphold company values.

What you bring:

  • A minimum of one year’s experience in sales or account management roles or at least two years’ experience within the express freight industry is essential for this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales growth through effective negotiation skills that result in mutually beneficial agreements for both clients and the organisation.
  • Extensive relationship-building capabilities developed from working across diverse service industries enable you to connect quickly with people from various backgrounds.
  • Excellent spoken and written command of English is required; your communication style should be cheerful, confident, professional, courteous—and always focused on customer satisfaction.
  • Proven capacity to learn product details rapidly so you can translate complex offerings into clear solutions that address specific client needs.
  • Meticulous attention to detail ensures accuracy in all aspects of your work—from proposal preparation through to contract execution—while maintaining high standards under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within busy teams demonstrates your flexibility and willingness to support shared goals.
  • Solid computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook plus familiarity with database management systems is necessary for efficient workflow management.
  • Outstanding time management skills allow you to prioritise tasks effectively so deadlines are consistently met without compromising quality or service levels.
  • A current driver’s licence is mandatory due to the field-based nature of this role.
