Senior Cyber Security and Systems Administrator

What you'll do:
- Develop, implement, monitor, and regularly update comprehensive cyber security policies, procedures, and standards to address emerging threats and ensure robust protection of project networks and data assets.
- Ensure all digital management systems comply with stringent requirements set by government agencies, including maintaining accreditation levels linked to official information security manuals.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across associated networks to proactively identify system weaknesses and recommend effective remediation strategies.
- Configure and maintain advanced firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus solutions, and other protective measures to defend against both internal and external threats.
- Coordinate the secure management of sensitive or classified information for both internal teams and external partners in line with industry regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all security configurations, system changes, audit results, and compliance assessments for transparency and accountability.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated proficiency in deploying network security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), virtual private networks (VPNs), ensuring resilient protection against cyber threats.
- Extensive experience utilising vulnerability scanning tools and conducting thorough penetration testing exercises to uncover system vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.
- Relevant certifications in cyber security or network administration from recognised vendors that validate your technical expertise in safeguarding complex IT environments.
- Proven ability to implement, maintain, and integrate corporate WANs, LANs, VLANs as well as manage DHCP, NAT configurations, wireless networks for seamless connectivity.
- Working knowledge of advanced networking protocols including MPLS, VRF alongside familiarity with ITIL framework for service management excellence.
- Hands-on experience configuring redundancy protocols such as VRRP, HSRP or GLBP to ensure high availability of critical network services.
