The Department for Education

The Department for Education is one of South Australia’s largest state government departments, and is responsible for providing public education and care to over 180,000 children and young people across the state.

We employ a workforce of over 30,000 employees from a variety of disciplines, including teachers, leaders, allied health professionals, support staff and corporate employees, all working together as one team to support the successful learning outcomes of our children and young people.
