Audit Manager

Working with a diverse portfolio of clients, you will lead audit engagements, mentor high-performing teams and build strong client relationships. Working closely with senior leadership, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of audit and assurance engagements, overseeing engagement teams and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients. You will also play an important role in mentoring staff, driving business growth and contributing to the continued success of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of audit and assurance engagements from planning through to completion
• Lead and develop engagement teams, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with professional standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance and review audit workpapers and financial statements
• Manage engagement budgets, timelines and profitability
• Identify opportunities to provide additional services and strengthen client relationships
• Mentor and coach junior team members, supporting their professional development
• Assist with resource planning, staff performance management and recruitment activities
• Contribute to business development initiatives and the ongoing growth of the audit division

About You

• CA or CPA qualified
• Extensive external audit experience gained within public practice
• Previous experience managing audit engagements and leading teams
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian auditing and accounting standards
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues
• Commercial mindset with strong problem-solving and leadership capabilities
• Passion for mentoring and developing high-performing teams
