Finance Manager

What you'll do:
- Lead month end and year end close processes by ensuring all financial reporting is accurate, timely, and fully compliant with relevant standards.
- Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements to guarantee alignment with both accounting standards and internal organisational requirements.
- Maintain the highest level of integrity and accuracy for financial data across multiple systems during periods of transition as well as ongoing business operations.
- Oversee essential finance functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger management to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal policies, procedures, and all applicable regulatory requirements through diligent monitoring and control activities.
- Deliver detailed financial analysis, insightful reporting, and actionable recommendations to support both strategic planning and operational decision-making across the business.
- Support the development, management, and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to enable effective resource allocation.
- Monitor all financial transactions closely to ensure appropriate controls are in place and perform regular reconciliations for accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for improvement within financial processes, controls, and system utilisation to drive greater efficiency throughout the department.
- Play an active role in the implementation of the ERP system (Deltek VantagePoint), including system testing, data validation efforts, and process alignment initiatives.
- Partner with key internal stakeholders across various departments to provide expert financial guidance and support their objectives effectively.
- Liaise with external advisors such as auditors and tax consultants to facilitate audit processes and respond promptly to queries as required.
- Contribute meaningfully to continuous improvement initiatives as well as broader finance transformation activities within the organisation.
- Provide support for ad hoc financial analysis requests, special reporting needs, or project-based assignments as they arise.
What you bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline provides you with a solid academic foundation for this position.
- Holding or working towards CA qualification is highly regarded as it demonstrates your commitment to professional excellence within finance.
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role equips you with practical insights into managing complex financial operations effectively.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge combined with an understanding of current financial reporting standards ensures your work meets high compliance benchmarks.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee core finance functions—including accounts payable/receivable cycles, payroll administration, and general ledger management—enables seamless daily operations.
- Experience working with ERP systems (ideally including involvement in implementation or migration projects) allows you to contribute confidently during technology transitions.
- Advanced systems skills paired with meticulous attention to data management help maintain integrity across all platforms used by the finance team.
- A track record in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management means you can support informed resource allocation decisions at every level of the business.
- Ability to deliver clear financial analysis along with actionable insights empowers leaders throughout the organisation to make sound decisions based on reliable information.
- History of identifying opportunities for process improvement within finance functions shows your commitment to driving efficiencies wherever possible.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—enable you to build trust-based relationships with colleagues at all levels as well as external partners such as auditors or consultants.
