Senior Accountant

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Accountant. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers exposure across financial accounting, reporting, payroll and cashflow management while working closely with leadership to support business performance and continuous improvement. The Role

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, responsibilities include:

• Managing end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Preparing and maintaining bank reconciliations and financial records
• Managing month-end reconciliations and reporting activities
• Monitoring and maintaining weekly cashflow forecasting
• Processing payroll accurately and within required timeframes
• Preparing BAS reconciliations and GST journals
• Managing supplier payments and reconciliations
• Supporting budgeting and financial planning activities
• Maintaining finance procedures and identifying process improvements
• Supporting wider finance and operational initiatives as required

About You

To succeed in this position, you will bring:

• Qualification in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance operations
• Strong financial reconciliation and reporting capability
• Experience using ERP systems (NetSuite, Pronto, JD Edwards, MYOB Advanced or similar advantageous)
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
