Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Business Services & Tax team. This opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of clients, direct access to experienced Partners and a genuine pathway towards future leadership opportunities.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Accountant, you will manage a portfolio of clients while supporting Managers and Partners on more complex engagements. You will be involved in a blend of compliance, taxation and advisory work, allowing you to broaden your technical capabilities and develop trusted client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns
• Preparation and review of BAS, IAS and GST returns
• Managing a portfolio of SME and private clients
• Assisting with tax planning and advisory projects
• Providing technical support and guidance to junior staff
• Reviewing work completed by intermediate accountants
• Liaising directly with clients, the ATO and external stakeholders
• Assisting Managers and Partners with complex client matters
• Managing workflow, deadlines and client expectations

About You

• CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion
• Previous experience within Business Services & Tax in public practice
• Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge
• Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns across multiple entity structures
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• A proactive attitude and desire to continue developing professionally
