Senior Bookkeeper
Part-Time (3-4 Days Per Week) | Leederville
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join a well-established professional services organisation in a key finance position.
Working alongside an existing Senior Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in managing trust accounting, payroll, compliance and financial reporting activities. This position offers genuine flexibility, autonomy and the opportunity to become part of a supportive and stable team environment.
The Opportunity
This role is ideally suited to someone with previous law firm experience who enjoys working independently, has exceptional attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily trust account transactions, payments and reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with trust accounting regulations and legislative requirements
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Perform daily banking and bank reconciliations
• Process payroll and manage associated compliance obligations
• Prepare BAS, IAS, PAYG and superannuation reporting
• Assist with month-end reporting and financial administration
• Maintain financial records and ensure system integrity
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external advisors
• Support ongoing process improvements across finance operations
About You
• Previous experience working within a law firm is essential
• Strong trust accounting experience and understanding of compliance requirements
• Experience using Xero and/or Unity software
• Minimum 5 years bookkeeping experience
• Strong payroll, BAS, PAYG and superannuation knowledge
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
• Professional, discreet and highly trustworthy
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
