Program Financial Analyst
Our client is seeking an experienced Program Financial Analyst to support the financial performance of complex, high-value programs. Working closely with Program Managers and finance stakeholders, you will deliver forecasting, reporting and commercial insights that support successful project delivery. This opportunity suits a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced project environment.
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Program Financial Analyst to join a collaborative and high-performing team supporting complex and strategically important programs.
You will partner closely with Program Managers and key stakeholders to drive project financial performance through forecasting, reporting, analysis and commercial insight.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining financial expertise with project delivery and influencing business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial performance across assigned programs and projects
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts and Estimates at Completion (EAC)
- Monitor project costs and identify risks and opportunities
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis
- Partner with stakeholders to support informed decision-making
- Analyse project variances and recommend corrective actions
- Support planning, forecasting and month-end reporting cycles
- Ensure governance and financial compliance requirements are met
- Drive improvements across project finance processes and reporting
About You
To be successful you will bring:
- Experience in Program Finance, Project Finance, Financial Analysis or Commercial Finance
- Strong capability across budgeting, forecasting and project reporting
- Experience supporting complex or project-based environments
- Exposure to Defence, Engineering, Infrastructure or technical sectors highly regarded
- Knowledge of CASG Cost & Profit methodologies advantageous
- Experience using Costpoint or similar ERP systems preferred
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
- Exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM) and COBRA desirable
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline
