Senior Accountant

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a highly regarded organisation for an initial 6-month contract, commencing ASAP. This position is based in the Adelaide CBD and requires full-time onsite attendance, five days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to senior finance leadership, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of Group Financial Accounts for CFO review within required reporting deadlines
• Preparation and analysis of monthly Financial Reports, including variance analysis against budgets and forecasts
• Partnering closely with operational and management teams to investigate and resolve financial queries
• Management of monthly revenue and expense journal processes
• Completion of Work in Progress (WIP) and sales suspense reconciliations
• Calculation and processing of intergroup service fees and quarterly expense reallocations
• Preparation and management of supplier rebate invoicing processes
• Assisting with annual budgeting and financial forecasting activities
• Supporting the implementation and improvement of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls
• Liaising with external auditors and key external stakeholders during audit and reporting cycles
• Contributing to ad hoc financial projects and broader finance team initiatives as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• CA / CPA qualification or working towards completion
• Proven experience within financial accounting, management accounting, or corporate reporting environments
• Strong technical accounting capability and attention to detail
• Experience preparing month-end reporting and reconciliations
• Ability to confidently engage with stakeholders across multiple levels of the business
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel capability
• A proactive and adaptable approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
