Rebate Accountant
* Immediate start contract role with a leading retailer, owning the full supplier rebate lifecycle end to end * Manage contracts, accruals, forecasting, reconciliations, reporting and rebate recovery to maximise revenue outcomes * Identify revenue leakage and drive process improvement through automation and systems
An exciting opportunity has become available with a market leading retailer and recognised leader within its industry. Due to continued growth and a strong focus on commercial performance, the business is seeking a highly analytical Rebates Analyst / Rebates Accountant to take ownership of its supplier rebate function.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys combining commercial analysis, contract management, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, interpret and administer supplier contracts and supplier income agreements
- Maintain a centralised contract repository and develop robust rebate tracking frameworks
- Manage the end-to-end rebate lifecycle, including:
- Accrual setup and maintenance
- Rebate tracking and forecasting
- Reconciliations
- Claims management
- Fund collection and recovery
- Identify gaps, discrepancies and revenue leakage, implementing corrective actions where required
- Analyse rebate performance and provide meaningful insights to key stakeholders
- Prepare reporting on rebate performance, variances, forecasts and risk exposure
- Partner with Commercial, Finance and Procurement teams to ensure contractual compliance and maximise rebate recovery
- Drive process improvement initiatives through automation, standardisation and system enhancements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- Previous experience in a rebates, supplier income, commercial finance, management accounting or financial accounting role
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Experience interpreting supplier agreements and commercial contracts
- Proven ability to identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
- Experience with Enable/RDM and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) will be highly regarded
