Finance Systems Specialist
Container Exchange (COEX) is on the lookout for a Finance Systems Specialist to join their Brisbane team and take the lead in shaping the future of finance systems within a purpose-driven organisation. In this role, you’ll oversee system administration, optimisation, and ongoing improvements for COEX’s key finance platforms—including Oracle and banking systems—playing a vital part in supporting the Containers for Change scheme. Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for the hands-on administration and maintenance of Oracle Fusion and related finance systems by managing chart of accounts, dimensions, workflows, master data, user access, and resolving day-to-day issues.
- Administer banking platforms by overseeing user access controls, approval permissions, user setup processes, and ongoing maintenance of banking profiles to ensure secure operations.
- Maintain accurate finance master data structures including chart of accounts hierarchies to support reliable processing and comprehensive reporting across all financial activities.
- Support month-end closing procedures as well as budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles by ensuring effective system setup, maintenance routines, and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Monitor data quality standards and system integrity across all finance platforms to guarantee compliance with internal policies and audit requirements.
- Document system configurations thoroughly by maintaining up-to-date records of procedures and changes for reference during audits or process reviews.
- Assist with audit requests relating to system access logs, change histories, control design documentation, and segregation of duties within finance systems.
- Identify opportunities for automation within finance processes while leading or supporting system upgrades, testing phases, implementation of enhancements, and integration projects as activities transition in-house.
- Translate business requirements from finance stakeholders into practical system changes by designing functional solutions that improve reporting efficiency.
- Act as a key liaison between Finance teams, IT departments, external vendors or system providers by investigating issues promptly and providing user support or training for Oracle Fusion and related tools.
About You:
- Demonstrated experience in senior finance systems roles
- Strong proficiency with Oracle
- Advanced Excel skills coupled with experience using reporting tools like Power BI enabling you to develop dashboards templates reports that enhance visibility decision-making efficiency.
- Comprehensive understanding of finance processes controls data integrity requirements compliance standards relevant regulations industry best practices ensuring adherence to legal obligations audit readiness.
- Proven track record contributing to process improvement initiatives through automation testing implementation upgrades or design projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency scalability.
- Ability to analyse operational data metrics effectively translating complexity into practical solutions that inform decision-making support continuous improvement efforts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills allowing you to build credibility strong relationships across Finance IT business stakeholders influencing outcomes driving progress without relying on formal authority.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting Finance Business Information Systems or related fields preferred along with eligibility for Blue Card criminal history check compliance requirements.
