Trainee Broker
A Melbourne based Investment Firm is seeking a highly motivated graduate to join as a Trainee Trading Broker. This is a front-office role offering exposure to live financial markets, trade execution, and client interaction, with a clear pathway into trading or broking.
The Role
The Graduate Trainee Trading Broker will support the trading desk in executing trades, monitoring market activity, and assisting with client coverage. The role provides real-time exposure to market dynamics, trading processes, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support trade execution across relevant asset classes under supervision
- Monitor live market movements and provide updates to the trading desk
- Assist in preparing market summaries and basic analysis
- Respond to client queries and assist with trade confirmations
- Maintain accurate records of trades and transactions
- Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements
- Work closely with brokers and internal teams to support operations
Key Requirements
Education
- Recent graduate in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or a related discipline
Skills & Experience
- Strong interest in financial markets and trading
- Strong numerical and analytical ability
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and coachable mindset
Technical Skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Exposure to financial markets or trading platforms is advantageous
