Risk Assurance Manager

Join a high-performing Risk & Compliance team playing a key role in strengthening enterprise risk, control effectiveness, and operational resilience as part of a major transformation program.

Reporting to the Head of Line 2 Assurance, you will lead and contribute to Line 2 assurance activities that provide independent insight into the organisation’s risk and control environment.

What you’ll do

• Lead end-to-end assurance reviews, from planning through to reporting and stakeholder engagement
• Assess adoption of risk standards and identify control gaps and improvement opportunities
• Validate Line 1 control self-assessments through structured assurance programs
• Deliver targeted deep-dive reviews across key risk and process areas
• Analyse risk data and trends to identify themes and emerging issues
• Build strong stakeholder relationships to drive uplift in control effectiveness

About you

• Experience in internal audit, Line 2 assurance, or controls testing
• Proven ability to lead audits or assurance engagements end-to-end
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
• Solid understanding of risk, controls, and assurance frameworks

Highly regarded

• Knowledge of CPS 230 – Operational Risk Management
• Experience in operational resilience and business continuity
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into meaningful risk insights
