Payroll Specialist
On behalf of our financial services client, headquartered in Melbourne CBD, we are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with strong SAP SuccessFactors capability to join the organisation on an initial 12‑month contract. This role sits within a regulated, complex payroll environment and will support both business as usual payroll operations and ongoing system and process enhancements.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, key responsibilities include:
- End‑to‑end payroll processing for a medium to large workforce
- Managing payroll activities within SAP SuccessFactors.
- Interpreting and applying awards, EBAs, and financial services employment conditions
- Ensuring compliance with Australian payroll legislation, tax, and superannuation
- Payroll reconciliations, month‑end reporting, and audit support
- Investigating and resolving payroll queries accurately and within agreed SLAs
- Partnering with HR, Finance, and external vendors during payroll cycles
- Supporting continuous improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives
About You
You will bring:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist within financial services or similarly regulated environments
- Strong hands‑on experience with SAP SuccessFactors, ideally Employee Central Payroll
- Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation and statutory obligations
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work confidently to deadlines in high‑volume payroll cycles
- Clear communication skills and a professional, stakeholder focused approach
