Business Development Associate | Funds Management

A high performing investment management business is looking to add a Business Development Associate to support its growing distribution team in Sydney. The role suits someone coming out of financial services who understands investment markets, enjoys speaking with clients and wants exposure to a high calibre investment environment.

This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their career looking to move deeper into funds management and build a long term pathway within distribution and client relationships.

You will work closely with senior sales and investment professionals, supporting relationships across financial advisers, private wealth, family office and high net worth channels.

Responsibilities

• Support senior distribution professionals across adviser and private wealth relationships
• Manage inbound and outbound client engagement across advisers, HNW investors and family offices
• Assist with client meetings, presentations and portfolio updates
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and help identify new opportunities
• Prepare market updates, investment commentary and client reporting material
• Work closely with investment and marketing teams on campaigns and client initiatives
• Manage CRM activity and support broader business development strategy

About You

• 1-4 years’ experience within financial services
• Exposure to advisers, wealth management, private banking, family office or investment clients
• Strong understanding of investment markets and financial products
• Confident communicator with strong relationship management skills
• Commercially minded, driven and genuinely interested in funds management
• Relevant finance, commerce or business degree preferred
