Middle Office Senior Analyst
The Senior Analyst will own end-to-end reporting deliverables across one or more asset classes or jurisdictions and contribute to a growing programme of regulatory change.
- Own daily, lifecycle and end-of-day trade reporting across ASIC, CFTC and CSA, including dispute resolution, query management and month-end reporting.
- Manage exceptions, reconciliations and NACK resolution across internal systems, Broadridge insideTrack and DTCC GTR; monitor KPIs, SLAs and action logs.
Support the quarterly Quality Assurance cycle, perform root cause analysis on findings, and track remediation through Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) software solution.
Interpret regulatory rule maps, technical specifications and guidance, and translate them into operational and system requirements.
Contribute to regulatory change programmes and engage with vendors on implementation.
Develop and maintain controls, BAU procedures and decision-tree documentation to ensure auditability and ongoing compliance.
Build strong relationships with Front Office, Legal, Compliance, Technology, counterparties.
Working knowledge of OTC derivatives products — ideally cleared interest rate derivatives and equity swaps.
Strong understanding of ASIC Derivative Transaction Rules (Reporting) 2024; experience with CFTC Parts 43/45 and CSA Trade Reporting Rules desired
Experience with reporting platforms and trade repositories — Broadridge (insideTrack, futureLandscape, totalOrder), DTCC GTR, MarkitWire and equivalents.
Advanced Excel: SQL and Python (or similar scripting) strongly preferred given the team’s focus on automation and reusable tooling.
Ability to read and interpret primary regulatory sources — technical specifications, validation rules and rulemaps — and challenge interpretations against primary evidence.
Superior verbal and written communication, including the ability to write clear technical analysis for legal, compliance and front office audiences.
Critical thinking and willingness to challenge — interrogate vendor guidance and prior conclusions against primary sources.
Builder mindset — interest in developing reusable tooling and frameworks, not just solving point-in-time queries.
Self-starter, highly organised, able to work independently and take ownership.
Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-moving regulatory environment, and the ability to influence across all levels.
