Associate (Fund Operations & Investor Relations)
A Funds Management firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join the team as a Fund Operations & Investor Relations Associate. This is an exciting opportunity to build a meaningful career within a respected Australian fund management business, contributing across a broad range of operational, client-facing, and marketing functions.
Fund Operations
- Manage transaction settlements and fund cash management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness under the guidance of senior team members.
- Lead the month-end reporting processes, liaising with fund administrators, auditors, and external service providers as required.
- Assist in the coordination of the annual audit process, helping to collate documentation and manage associated deliverables.
- Support the preparation of distribution and tax reporting, ensuring investors receive accurate and timely information.
- Monitor fund compliance obligations and maintain records in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Manage relationships with key service providers, including fund administrators, custodians, and legal and compliance advisers.
- Prepare performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare Board reporting materials, ensuring governance documentation is accurate and well-presented.
Investor Relations
- Process investor applications and redemptions, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for all investors.
- Respond to investor queries in a timely and professional manner, escalating complex matters to senior team members where appropriate.
- Support the onboarding of new platforms and wealth manager relationships, assisting with documentation and operational requirements.
- Maintain and service relationships with family office and high-net-worth (HNW) investors, supporting the broader investor relations effort.
- Assist with distribution reinvestment initiatives and efforts to support growth in investor holdings.
Marketing & Communications
- Produce investor newsletters, presentations, and marketing materials that communicate fund strategy, performance, and positioning.
- Maintain the firm's website, investor mailing lists, and social media channels, ensuring content is current and consistent with the firm's brand.
- Coordinate marketing promotions, investor events, and media exposure initiatives.
- Manage submissions and reporting to research rating groups and fund data platforms.

Essential Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fund operations, investor relations, or a comparable role within asset management, funds management, or financial services.
- Working knowledge of managed fund processes, including settlements, investor applications and redemptions, and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience managing investor relationships, particularly with family offices, HNW investors, or wealth management platforms.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality investor communications, marketing materials, and presentations.
- Strong understanding of Australian regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to registered and unregistered managed investment schemes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information clearly and professionally.
- High level of personal organisation with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and meet deadlines without close supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with fund administration platforms and CRM systems is an advantage.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience working within a fund manager, fund administrator, or similar financial services environment.
- Familiarity with investor portals, fund administration platforms, or CRM systems.
- Exposure to investor relations or client servicing within asset management.
- A tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, business, or a related field; progress towards or completion of RG146 compliance or equivalent is advantageous.
- An interest in or experience with marketing, communications, or digital content within a financial services context.
