Senior Recoveries Officer

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Recoveries Officer to join a well-established financial services organisation with a strong customer-first focus.

This permanent opportunity sits within a high-performing Collections & Recoveries team and will see you managing a portfolio of complex and high-risk accounts across both retail and commercial lending products.

Offering a flexible hybrid working model (3 days in office per week), this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing commercial outcomes with customer care.


The Opportunity

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of impaired and high-risk lending accounts
  • Negotiating and implementing suitable recovery solutions with customers
  • Managing legal recovery processes and stakeholder relationships
  • Working closely with solicitors, insolvency practitioners and external partners
  • Assessing financial hardship requests and recommending appropriate outcomes
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and risk mitigation
  • Handling escalated customer matters with professionalism and empathy


About You

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Previous experience within mortgage recoveries or collections
  • Strong understanding of retail lending and financial services legislation
  • Experience managing complex customer scenarios and recovery strategies
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to balance compliance, commercial outcomes and customer experience
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
