What you'll do:

As a Product Developer – Consumer Products and Lifestyle based in Melbourne, you will immerse yourself in every aspect of bringing exceptional lifestyle products to market. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating closely with internal teams as well as external partners such as licensees and retailers across multiple time zones. You will be responsible for guiding projects from ideation through production readiness balancing creativity with commercial needs while ensuring each product meets rigorous brand standards.

• Oversee and manage all stages of the product development lifecycle from initial concept through to final production for assigned categories such as Fashion, Home, Food, Beauty, and Care.
• Deliver accurate design input and creative direction aligned with property guidelines and business priorities to external partners including licensees, retailers, and agents.
• Serve as the design expert for your assigned categories by providing guidance on design principles, materials selection, technology integration, product construction methods, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Create trend boards, mood boards, product concepts/mockups, graphics, and illustrations for use in presentations, line reviews, and partner communications.
  
  

What you bring:

To excel as a Product Developer – Consumer Products and Lifestyle you will bring proven experience from roles involving licensing or manufacturing within fashion-forward consumer goods sectors. Your background should include hands-on involvement in taking products from concept through production demonstrating an understanding of both creative direction and technical feasibility.

• A minimum of 4-7 years’ experience in licensing, manufacturing or consumer product design within Fashion, Homeware, Food, Beauty or Care sectors is required.

• Demonstrated expertise in managing end-to-end product development processes including CAD creation, sample review, packaging design and production readiness.
• Proven track record of working with licensed entertainment products or similar branded merchandise environments.
• Exceptional design skills supported by proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator; working knowledge of InDesign, Keynote, PowerPoint, Word and Excel is highly desirable.
