The Opportunity:
HCO Real Connections is seeking an accomplished and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation into its next phase of growth and impact. Reporting directly to the Board, the CEO will be responsible for providing strategic, operational and cultural leadership, ensuring the organisation remains sustainable, compliant and deeply client focused.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced executive leader who is passionate about community services and capable of driving performance, innovation and meaningful outcomes in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of organisational strategy in partnership with the Board, including setting priorities and monitoring performance.
- Provide executive leadership across service delivery, people and culture, governance, quality and overall organisational performance.
- Ensure financial sustainability through effective budgeting, forecasting, reporting and resource management.
- Maintain strong governance, risk and compliance frameworks aligned with legislation, standards and contractual obligations.
- Build and lead a high-performing, inclusive and accountable leadership culture aligned with organisational values.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, staff, government, funders and community stakeholders.
- Act as the primary spokesperson and representative of the organisation.
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation and change initiatives.
- Provide high-quality advice and reporting to the Board across strategy, finance, risk and performance.
- Uphold and enhance organisational reputation through ethical leadership and transparent communication.
- Ensure a safe, respectful and compliant workplace, including oversight of WHS responsibilities.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Proven senior executive leadership experience in disability services, community services, not-for-profit or similar regulated sectors.
- Demonstrated success in strategy execution, organisational performance and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong financial management capability, including budgeting and analysis.
- Experience leading organisational change and building high-performing teams.
- Sound understanding of governance, risk and Board reporting.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, NDIS requirements and sector trends.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and person-centred practice.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. social work, business, community services, health).
- Current unrestricted South Australian driver’s licence.
- DHS Screening and NDIS Worker Screening clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Willingness to undertake relevant sector training as required.
