Training Manager

Are you an experienced training leader with a background in the hospitality, tourism, entertainment or broader service sectors? We are partnering with a respected industry association seeking a strategic and commercially minded Training Manager to lead its Registered Training Organisation (RTO), drive workforce capability initiatives and oversee the delivery of high-quality training programs across Queensland.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will lead the training function, manage RTO compliance and governance, oversee training quality and delivery, and identify opportunities to grow training programs and funding streams. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategy, stakeholder engagement, operational management and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the training department, including trainers and support staff.
• Manage all aspects of RTO governance, compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert advice on training and workforce development matters to internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee the design, development, validation and delivery of training programs.
• Drive business growth through new training opportunities, partnerships and funding initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of training quality and learner outcomes.
• Represent the organisation across industry, training and vocational education forums.

About You

You are a passionate people leader with strong experience in training, learning and development, vocational education or workforce capability.

You will bring:

• Experience in a Training Manager, RTO Manager, Learning & Development Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of vocational education, training delivery, quality assurance and compliance.
• Experience managing or working within an RTO environment.
• Proven capability in designing, developing and delivering training programs.
• Experience securing funding opportunities and growing training offerings.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) and/or relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
• The ability to lead, motivate and develop a small team.
• Experience within the hospitality, tourism, entertainment, licensed venue, gaming or broader service sectors, with an understanding of industry workforce development needs highly regarded.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach and a genuine passion for developing people and building organisational capability.
