Empowering tech talent: Robert Walters and BeerOps
The Robert Walters Tech and Transformation team proudly marked its seventh consecutive year as a sponsor of BeerOps at the Mid-Year event held at Darling Harbour, Sydney earlier this week.
BeerOps, Australia's largest Tech MeetUp, brought together over 1,000 technologists, from engineers to CxOs, for an evening of networking and collaboration. The event featured a lively atmosphere with complimentary food and drinks, along with opportunities to win exciting prizes. It also highlighted jobseeker shoutouts and company hiring initiatives, all while supporting charitable causes.
At each BeerOps event, Stephen Wallace, Founder of BeerOps, incorporates a dedicated fundraising round aimed at supporting charitable causes. This year, BeerOps is focusing its efforts on raising funds for the Kids with Cancer Foundation, providing crucial support to sick children and their families during challenging times. Stephen's initiative underscores BeerOps' mission not only to foster networking and collaboration within the tech community but also to make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.
"We are thrilled to have been part of BeerOps once again," said Ben Leighton, Associate Director – Technology at Robert Walters Sydney. "It's not just about networking; it's about reaffirming our commitment to the tech community and forging meaningful connections."
The event's strong attendance underscores its importance as a key gathering for tech professionals in Australia. For Robert Walters, a leading technology recruitment firm, BeerOps serves as a vital platform to connect top tech talent with leading businesses.
"As a platinum sponsor, we are committed to fostering innovation and collaboration within the tech industry," Ben continued. "Events like BeerOps enable us to strengthen our relationships with both candidates and clients, driving excellence in recruitment."
Robert Walters remains dedicated to contributing to initiatives that advance the tech sector, creating opportunities for growth and success. Across our offices, our Tech and Transformation teams partner with local, national, and global organisations and initiatives to foster a more inclusive industry.
"Our partnership with BeerOps aims to empower tech professionals from diverse backgrounds and skill levels," Ben added. "We strive to contribute meaningfully to the tech and transformation communities across Australia."
