About the Role
As Knowledge Counsel, you will play an integral role in driving the operational execution of the firm's internal knowledge function. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:
- Conduct thorough research and identify relevant updates for internal communication to ensure the team remains informed on key developments.
- Support the creation and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive work product strategies, leveraging new generative AI tools to enhance efficiency.
- Provide guidance and informal mentoring to early career lawyers, helping them develop their skills within a nurturing environment.
- Collaborate with the Learning team to design and implement internal learning and development programmes tailored to the needs of the firm.
- Manage legal product subscriptions—including those related to AI—by liaising with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Work directly with partners and lawyers to generate high-quality content for market-facing outputs, providing editorial support from inception through finalisation.
- Promote knowledge sharing across the firm by facilitating workshops, presentations, or written communications that foster communal learning.
- Champion best practices in knowledge management by staying curious about emerging trends in employment, industrial relations, and safety law.
About You
Your proven experience as Knowledge Counsel will include deep familiarity with employment law as well as industrial relations or safety & regulatory matters. You bring:
- At least six years’ post-admission experience in employment, industrial relations or safety & regulatory law.
- Outstanding communication skills for effective sharing of information and presentation of complex concepts clearly.
- Superior client service abilities.
- An organised approach for the management of multiple projects.
- A willingness to learn new technologies including generative AI products.
- An open-minded and enthusiastic attitude.
- Experience mentoring junior lawyers or supporting early career professionals is highly valued.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
