Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve coordinating preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshooting machinery issues, managing compliance with site procedures, and supporting production needs. Success in this role requires you to be highly organised, responsive to changing priorities, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality. You will interact regularly with various departments, ensuring seamless communication between teams while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. By leveraging your technical expertise in electrical/mechanical systems and your interpersonal skills, you will help create an efficient, safe, and collaborative workplace where everyone can thrive.
- Oversee daily machine troubleshooting, preventive maintenance work orders, and schedules across multiple departments to ensure packing and labelling requirements are consistently met.
- Ensure plant machinery and equipment operate at maximum efficiency by monitoring performance and addressing issues promptly.
- Manage MEX requirements as part of the facility’s maintenance management system, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules that minimise downtime and optimise production flow.
- Complete all required work orders with minimal impact on the production schedule while maintaining detailed work histories through the maintenance management system.
- Coordinate upcoming planned maintenance and project work so that all activities run smoothly without disrupting operations.
- Utilise your knowledge and experience to efficiently identify faults under pressure, rectifying issues quickly to maintain operational continuity.
- Maintain general cleaning and housekeeping standards for areas, tools, and machinery to ensure a safe and organised working environment.

- Sound interpersonal skills allow you to develop relationships, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders across departments.
- Attention to detail combined with strong information processing abilities supports accurate record-keeping within the maintenance management system.
- Problem-solving skills paired with multitasking capabilities enable you to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards.
- Ability to identify and introduce improvements in maintenance practices contributes positively to plant performance.
