About the role: Adelaide Airport is seeking a dedicated Purchasing and Administration Officer to join the Technology & Innovation team. What you will do:
The Purchasing and Administration Officer will be entrusted with a diverse range of responsibilities that are essential to the seamless functioning of the Technology & Innovation team. Your day-to-day activities will involve:
- Provide administrative support across procurement, travel, events, and office operations to ensure these functions run efficiently.
- Raise and process purchase requisitions accurately while ensuring full compliance with established company policies and procedures.
- Verify invoices promptly and manage goods receipting to guarantee timely processing of financial transactions.
- Take ownership of procurement workflow from requisition through to receipting
- Act as primary liaison between T&I, Finance, and vendors for purchasing queries
- Assist in setting up new suppliers within the finance system and maintain accurate records of third party suppliers managed via contracts or legal instruments.
- Support travel planning by booking flights, accommodation, events, transportation, and managing related logistics for the team.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes for staff and contractors by coordinating inductions, documentation, exit sessions, and compliance requirements.
- Provide high level administrative support to senior management.

- Proven experience providing high-quality administrative support within a busy office environment where accuracy is essential.
- Proficiency in MS office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Planner)
- Strong organisational abilities paired with excellent time management skills that enable you to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement or finance administration
- Previous experience working with financial systems (e.g purchase orders, invoicing workflows)
- Exceptional attention to detail while maintaining accuracy in financial transactions and well-organised records.
- Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to build rapport with colleagues across departments as well as external partners or vendors.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and respectful engagement with external and internal stakeholders.
- Comfort with learning new business productivity tools or technologies quickly as processes evolve within the organisation.
- A strong sense of accountability combined with pride in contributing positively towards shared team goals.
