What you’ll do
As an OT Cyber Security Business Analyst, you will play a central role in the success of initiatives that underpin critical operations. You will lead structured discovery activities, engage stakeholders across the organisation, and translate business needs into clear, testable requirements aligned with industry best practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading discovery sessions to understand current-state processes, systems, roles, responsibilities, and constraints within OT and cyber environments
- Conducting detailed gap analyses against standards such as IS18 and ISO27000, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement
- Facilitating stakeholder engagement through interviews and workshops to gather and validate requirements
- Developing comprehensive business cases outlining problems, benefits, costs, risks, and delivery options
- Preparing accurate and complete project initiation artefacts aligned to strategic and operational objectives
- Producing prioritised, traceable, and testable requirements documentation to support internal teams and third‑party vendors
- Maintaining robust requirements traceability from initiation through to solution acceptance
- Supporting testing, acceptance, and transition into business‑as‑usual operations
- Reviewing and redesigning processes and workflows to improve security, resilience, and long‑term sustainability
Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help identify issues early, support continuous improvement, and ensure secure, future‑ready outcomes.
What you bring
You will bring strong experience as a Business Analyst within operational technology and/or cyber security environments, with a proven ability to translate complex needs into practical, value-driven solutions.
Key skills and experience include:
- Demonstrated experience leading structured discovery activities in OT or cyber security settings
- Proven capability performing gap analyses against IS18, ISO27000, or similar frameworks
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including facilitating workshops across multidisciplinary teams
- Experience developing well-structured business cases for executive decision-making
- High attention to detail when producing project initiation and requirements documentation
- Advanced capability in producing testable, traceable requirements across the project lifecycle
- Experience working with vendors and maintaining alignment through traceability frameworks
- Ability to provide clear artefacts such as process maps, acceptance criteria, and requirements specifications
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation
- Strong process analysis and redesign skills to enhance operational efficiency, security, and resilience
