Process Improvement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Process Implementation Specialist to support a large-scale organisational transformation focused on harmonising operations across multiple education businesses. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in designing the future operating model of a growing organisation while working closely with business leaders and frontline stakeholders.

As the Process Implementation Specialist, you will be responsible for discovering, documenting and redesigning critical business processes across the organisation. This role goes beyond process mapping. We're looking for someone who can understand how the business currently operates, identify inefficiencies and opportunities, and help shape a more streamlined and scalable future state.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand and document current-state (AS-IS) processes.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews and discovery sessions with business leaders and operational teams.
• Map end-to-end business processes including admissions, teaching, timetabling, curriculum management, student services, governance and operational workflows.
• Identify process variations, inefficiencies, bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Develop future-state (TO-BE) process designs that support organisational transformation objectives.
• Create process maps, swimlane diagrams, workflows and supporting documentation.
• Challenge existing ways of working and provide recommendations to improve operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers and transformation stakeholders to align process outcomes with broader business objectives.
• Support the development of a consistent and scalable operating model across the organisation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience as a Process Analyst or Process Improvement specialist.
• Strong process discovery, process mapping and business analysis capabilities.
• Experience conducting stakeholder interviews, workshops and requirements gathering activities.
• The ability to analyse complex business operations and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Experience designing future-state processes and supporting business transformation initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• A hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• The confidence to challenge existing processes and influence change.

Highly Regarded

• Experience within Higher Education, Education Services or other complex service-based environments.
• Exposure to operating model transformation, process harmonisation or large-scale business change programs.
• Experience mapping processes across multiple business units, brands or operating entities.
• Knowledge of BPMN, process modelling frameworks or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience documenting admissions, enrolment, curriculum, student lifecycle or governance processes.
• Exposure to Lean, Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Experience working alongside Business Analysts, Transformation Managers or Process Improvement teams.
