What you'll do:

As a Senior Project Manager in this influential role based in Melbourne, you will be responsible for orchestrating the early stages of a major strategic initiative designed to redefine how members experience services within a regulated financial services context. Your day-to-day activities will involve synthesising member insights into actionable strategies, building compelling business cases for executive approval, and establishing clear road maps that guide future delivery. Success in this position requires you to bring structure to ambiguity by introducing governance processes and delivery discipline where little currently exists.

  • Lead early-stage discovery and planning to define strategies and propositions
  • Develop business cases and structured road maps for senior and board approval
  • Introduce governance, structure, and delivery discipline in an evolving environment
  • Partner with CX, digital, and product teams to co-create member-focused solutions
  • Engage senior stakeholders (GM/exec level) to drive alignment and accountability

What you bring:

To excel as a Senior Project Manager in this role, your background should reflect significant experience managing complex projects where both strategic insight and operational rigour are required. You will bring proven expertise in navigating ambiguous situations by creating order out of uncertainty - whether through establishing governance structures or developing clear road maps from initial concepts. Your interpersonal skills will enable you to build trust quickly with senior stakeholders while encouraging open communication among cross-functional teams. Experience gained within customer-centric transformations or digital/product-led initiatives will serve you well as you collaborate closely with colleagues from various disciplines. Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager with strong business-facing leadership capabilities in complex environments.

  • Proven background in customer experience transformation or digital/product-led change programmes within large organisations.
  • Track record of delivering results in early-stage strategy or pre-delivery programmes where vision must be translated into actionable plans.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior (GM/executive) levels while fostering collaboration across teams.
  • Familiarity with financial services regulations - particularly superannuation -is highly desirable but not essential.
