Pre-Sales Engineer - Agentic AI
Join a high‑growth AI organisation delivering next‑generation AI agent solutions into some of APAC’s most complex enterprise environments. You’ll prototype agents, guide architecture, and work directly with customers to shape their future‑state AI stack. This role suits someone who learns fast, loves solving technical puzzles, and thrives in a low‑bureaucracy environment where you can build, influence and innovate.
They are seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer to help major enterprises adopt, deploy and scale AI agents across hybrid, on‑prem and highly secure environments. This role blends technical depth, rapid prototyping, architectural thinking and consultative engagement.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of AI agents, enterprise architecture, security, identity and modern compute infrastructure. You’ll help customers understand how AI agents fit into their environment, how they scale, and how they integrate with existing systems.
This role can be done anywhere in Australia but does require customer visits across the East Coast, so it is not 'fully remote' and preferably is based in Sydney or Melbourne.
Responsibilities:
Rapidly assemble AI agent prototypes using templates, frameworks and pre‑built components
-
Deliver 3–4 day proof‑of‑concept cycles to demonstrate feasibility and value
-
Adapt solutions to different languages, architectures and enterprise constraints
-
Work with a mature AI platform with deep capabilities under the hood
Solve Complex Enterprise Challenges
-
Work across hybrid, on‑prem and air‑gapped environments
-
Understand identity, security, scaling and integration requirements for large organisations
-
Fit AI agents into existing enterprise architectures, including regulated and highly customised environments
-
Navigate legacy systems and determine how new components fit into the broader technical landscape
Guide Architecture & Technical Direction
-
Partner with enterprise architects to define future‑state AI agent architectures
-
Present and defend architectural viewpoints to technical stakeholders
-
Conduct technical due diligence to ensure solutions work in real‑world environments
-
Shape solutions that meet customer needs through consultative engagement
Collaborate Across the Ecosystem
-
Work with modern AI frameworks, open standards and high‑performance compute stacks
-
Support enterprise co‑development of AI agents using the latest tooling and infrastructure
-
Engage with internal engineering and technical validation teams to ensure solution integrity
Engage with Customers Across APAC
-
Participate in technical workshops, architecture reviews and solution design sessions
-
Travel occasionally to customer sites
-
Attend quarterly events and team gatherings
