Senior Business Improvement Consultant - AI
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Improvement Consultant to lead and deliver a portfolio of business improvement initiatives, with a particular focus on leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. This role is pivotal in driving transformation across processes, service delivery, and user experiences, both internally and externally. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying opportunities for improvement, developing innovative solutions, and implementing AI-enabled projects that align with strategic priorities. Additionally, this position involves building internal capability in the use of AI tools, particularly Microsoft Copilot, and delivering training programs to support effective adoption across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a portfolio of business improvement projects focused on AI from concept through implementation and benefit realisation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement through analysis, stakeholder engagement, and customer feedback.
- Develop compelling business cases and project proposals that outline investment requirements, anticipated benefits, and alignment with organisational goals.
- Coordinate project delivery activities, including vendor engagement, testing, training, and change management.
- Build and deliver training programs to develop AI capability across the organisation, focusing on Microsoft Copilot and other relevant tools.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams comprising internal staff, vendors, and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Monitor and report on AI initiatives, tracking benefits and assessing future opportunities while ensuring alignment with strategy.
- Foster strong relationships with internal teams, external vendors, cross-government partners, and customers to ensure solutions are user-centred and sustainable.
- Model a collaborative, customer-focused approach to business improvement efforts.
Essential Expertise:
- Extensive experience in business analysis, project management, change management, process improvement, or AI implementation.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships and influence positive change across diverse teams.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying problems, developing innovative solutions, and successfully implementing change initiatives.
- Strong understanding of legislative requirements related to Work Health and Safety Act 2012 and risk management principles (AS ISO 31000:2018).
Desirable Expertise:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as UX/CX design, IT, or project management.
- Professional certifications such as Lean/Six Sigma, Human-Centred Design, IIBA CCBA, or Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Hands-on experience using Microsoft Copilot or Power Platform tools.
- Demonstrated interest in emerging AI technologies and their application in business transformation.
