Data Analytics Manager

This is an exceptional opportunity to join one of Australia's leading early childhood education organisation in Brisbane, as a Data Manager in this newly established role. The business is entering an exciting new phase of maturity, having recently completed significant system upgrades and established a robust data lake architecture. Now, we’re looking for someone to take ownership of this foundation and lead the charge toward delivering impactful insights for our stakeholders.

The Role:
As the Data Analytics Manager, you will:

• Lead & Manage: Oversee one direct report while remaining hands-on with technical tasks.
• Drive Data Strategy: Transition ownership of their data lake house from external consultants and ensure sustainability beyond current dependencies.
• Automate & Optimize: Build automated pipelines and enhance the lakehouse architecture to support scalable data solutions.
• Enhance Stakeholder Experience: Overhaul existing dashboards to deliver tailored insights for internal teams (e.g., accountants, operational leaders).
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with senior leaders (COO, GMs) to understand their needs and provide actionable data solutions.

About You:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Experience: 6–8 years in data engineering/analysis with exposure to architecture.
• Technical Skills: Strong expertise in Azure Data Lake, Microsoft stack, Power BI; familiarity with Microsoft Fabric is a bonus.
• Leadership Ability: Proven experience managing small teams while staying hands-on with technical work.
• Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.
