ServiceNow Engineer
A leading technology solutions provider is seeking a ServiceNow Engineer to join their Brisbane team, where your expertise will be instrumental in delivering exceptional outcomes for both internal and external customers. What you'll do:
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs—both internal and external—to deliver tailored ServiceNow solutions that address business challenges and foster long-term partnerships.
- Establish strong relationships with stakeholders by becoming a trusted advisor and facilitating effective operational and project delivery through clear communication and collaboration.
- Engage with customers to solve their business problems using ServiceNow, driving further adoption while contributing to customer-facing artefacts that clarify technical concepts.
- Collaborate with project teams—including customer stakeholders—to produce high-quality design documentation aligned with requirements and project scope.
- Provide expert recommendations to improve existing designs, limiting customisation to reduce complexity within ServiceNow environments for both the organisation and its clients.
- Prepare comprehensive handover documentation for seamless transition into ongoing support, ensuring robust solutions are implemented efficiently.
- Contribute technical content for client proposals, demonstrating subject matter knowledge on ServiceNow products and accurately explaining system functionality and configuration options.
- Champion new ServiceNow products and features internally by recommending ways to increase adoption and delivering quarterly knowledge-sharing presentations on technical challenges or project achievements.
- Assist in developing blogs, social media posts, webinars, or marketing events annually to share best practices within the technical community.
- Maintain information security standards by implementing relevant policies and procedures, protecting assets from unauthorised access or modification, and participating in ongoing training initiatives.
What you bring:
- Over four years’ experience working with ServiceNow applications including ITSM, ITOM, HR, ITBM, CSM or similar modules—demonstrating proven ability to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- At least three years’ experience with IT Service Management tools and processes alongside hands-on involvement in ITIL roles participating in ITIL processes.
- Proven track record managing multiple tasks effectively within busy environments involving numerous stakeholders and firm deadlines.
- Experience integrating diverse platforms and business applications as well as developing systems, processes, and procedures tailored to customer requirements.
- Relevant technical knowledge of ITSM systems & processes coupled with familiarity using other ITSM applications such as Agile project methods.
- Ability to provide detailed written and verbal responses to technical requirements while describing ServiceNow applications in ways that solve common business objectives.
- High level of written and oral communication skills combined with a personable manner suitable for stakeholder engagement at all levels.
- Understanding of various project delivery models including Agile, Waterfall, DevOps methodologies; demonstrated commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
- Hands-on proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS plus additional scripting languages like PowerShell, SSH, LDAP, Bash; database skills (SQL) and frameworks (AngularJS, Bootstrap).
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or related field; certifications such as ITIL Foundation certificate; ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator; Implementation Specialist (ITSM); Application Developer; Performance Analytics experience; Micro-Certifications; Agile Certified Practitioner.
