ServiceNow Technical Consultant
A leading technology solutions provider is seeking a ServiceNow Technical Consultant to join their Brisbane team. This full-time, Permanent position offers the sucessfull candidate an opportunity to work at the forefront of digital transformation, helping customers realise business outcomes from technology. You will be part of a supportive ServiceNow Practice, collaborating with managers and technical experts.
What you'll do:
- Maintain up-to-date market, industry, customer, and competitive knowledge to inform solution design and implementation that delivers sustainable value.
- Design and implement ServiceNow solutions that address client needs, drive innovation, and enhance operational capabilities while supporting business strategies.
- Develop technical designs that challenge conventional approaches and contribute to improved tooling, smoother operations, and greater maturity for customers.
- Leverage existing offerings and delivery methodologies with a focus on repeatability to ensure consistent quality across projects.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert during qualification, scoping, estimation, design, and architecture phases of new or existing opportunities to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Contribute to the development and update of productised services within the ServiceNow Practice by sharing technical expertise and insights.
- Show technical leadership by example through participation in complex projects, delivery engagements, and creation of content such as blogs, webinars, or meetups.
- Define and drive standards and best practices within the team; maintain documentation and actively share knowledge with colleagues across the wider community of practice.
- Mentor team members by setting customer expectations collaboratively, developing specialised skills together, and promoting ways of working that foster cohesion.
- Partner with Solution Architects to mature frameworks delivered under the ServiceNow Practice while maintaining solution lifecycle artefacts that meet sales and delivery guidelines.
The ideal Candidate:
- At least 5 years’ experience as an end-to-end ServiceNow Consultant focused on migration, transformation, or IT outsourcing initiatives is essential for this role.
- A minimum of 10 years’ participation in the IT industry demonstrates your depth of knowledge across multiple domains.
- Experience in customer-facing consulting or pre-sales roles enables you to translate business challenges into suitable technical solutions via ServiceNow.
- Proven ability to interface with diverse stakeholders—including senior business leaders—ensures effective communication throughout engagements.
- Strong application development and integration experience allows you to create robust solutions using ServiceNow applications that solve common business objectives.
- Previous experience working for Managed Services Providers or Systems Integrators servicing multiple small-to-large clients is highly desirable.
- Comprehensive IT Service Management experience supports your understanding of operational frameworks such as SIAM Operating Model Design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills enable you to prepare reports, present ideas diagrammatically, maintain documentation, and interact effectively with peers.
- Willingness to learn new technologies combined with adaptability under pressure ensures continued growth in complex environments with firm deadlines.
- Understanding of ServiceNow licensing structures, security posture management, integration frameworks (ITSM/SPM/ITOM/HRSD/CSM/SecOps/GRC/PA), plus relevant certifications (ITIL Certified; ServiceNow CSA; Implementation Specialist; CTA; TOGAF; AWS Foundations; Azure Foundations) are highly regarded.
