IT Support Officer
We are seeking a proactive IT Officer (Level 2 Helpdesk / Junior Systems) for a 3‑month temporary assignment to support a busy internal IT environment. This role will work closely with an existing Managed Service Provider (MSP) while taking ownership of day‑to‑day support activities and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the IT support ticket queue, including triage, prioritisation, resolution, and communication in line with defined SLAs
- Work collaboratively with a Managed Service Provider to ensure effective service delivery
- Troubleshoot and manage requests across:
- Windows environments
- Microsoft 365
- Networking
- Mobile devices
- Cloud infrastructure (Azure)
- Third‑party and business‑specific applications
- Leverage and promote AI tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot) to improve efficiency across troubleshooting, documentation, and customer communication
- Provide onsite IT support to internal users
- Document work as you go, including:
- Knowledge base articles
- System and site documentation
- Configuration records
- Automate processes where appropriate using Power Automate, scripts, and runbooks
- Manage IT assets, inventory, and lifecycle processes
- Contribute ideas and support initiatives aimed at continual improvement of the IT operating environment
