This role is perfect for someone who thrives on providing exceptional technical support within a nurturing, values-driven environment. As the primary ICT contact at the college, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless technology operations, supporting both staff and students, and fostering a collaborative team culture.

What you'll do:

  • Provide comprehensive technical assistance and support for queries related to computer systems, software applications, and hardware devices across the college campus.
  • Receive, log, prioritise, and manage all requests for ICT support using helpdesk software to ensure prompt resolution and high user satisfaction.
  • Install, configure, and commission desktop and laptop systems as well as perform routine upgrades to maintain optimal performance of end-user devices.
  • Maintain accurate systems documentation including asset registers and knowledge base articles to support efficient operations and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor the implementation of new systems and proactively ensure all technology solutions are running smoothly within the college environment.
  • Communicate regularly with the wider ICT team to share updates on incidents, escalate complex issues when necessary, and contribute to ongoing service improvements.
  • Lead by example in supporting the Christian mission and values of the college through your daily interactions with students, staff, parents, vendors, and executive leadership.
  • Troubleshoot issues relating to server infrastructure, storage solutions, networking equipment, telephony systems, printers, and classroom audio-visual technologies.
  • Manage user accessibility rights in accordance with policy guidelines while assisting with project-based installations and configurations as directed by management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies including information security protocols, data retention standards, change management procedures, WH&S regulations, and child safety obligations.

What you bring:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience providing technical helpdesk support within complex environments - ideally including previous work in educational settings where sensitivity to student needs is paramount.
  • Broad troubleshooting capabilities spanning desktop computers (Windows 10/11 & MacOS), server infrastructure (including Microsoft 365 suite), networking equipment (wired/wireless), telephony systems, printers, tablets, and classroom AV technologies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills enabling you to articulate technical concepts effectively to audiences ranging from young students through to senior executives.
  • Proven proficiency in translating customer requests into actionable outcomes while maintaining empathy for users’ frustrations around technology challenges.
  • Relevant certifications such as Windows 10/11 or MacOS accreditation coupled with practical experience supporting end-user devices across multiple platforms.
  • Deep familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration including user management and application deployment within organisational contexts.
  • Ability to work dependably both independently when required as well as collaboratively within a supportive team structure focused on shared success.
  • A self-motivated approach characterised by initiative-taking behaviour alongside meticulous attention to detail - ensuring tasks are completed accurately even under pressure.
