Senior Technical Specialist -ICT

Senior Technical Specialist, $1000 per day inclusive, 2-month contract, Brisbane CBD A leading organisation in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist in Information and Communication Technology to play a pivotal role in supporting a major Windows 11 upgrade project.

What you'll do:

• Analyse complex technical requirements and implement effective solutions to facilitate the migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11 across multiple business units.
• Remediate deployment infrastructure and tools such as MECM, Intune, Group Policy, and Login Script to ensure readiness for upgrade activities.
• Participate actively in planning, design, and testing phases for the Windows 11 rollout, contributing your insights to optimise project outcomes.
• Ensure all implemented solutions are secure, robust, and fully compliant with government regulations as well as specific project requirements.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation and maintain architectural records for ICT systems to support ongoing operations and future upgrades.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams including business stakeholders and ICT professionals to promote shared understanding and acceptance of proposed solutions.
• Engage with vendors to identify solution capabilities, assure strategic alignment, and document collaborative outcomes effectively.
• Support business-as-usual deliverables within Digital Services by providing expert guidance on End User Computing technologies.
• Contribute positively to ITSM practices such as incident management and change management by adhering to established protocols.
• Prioritise assigned tasks efficiently, meeting deadlines professionally while utilising initiative with minimal supervision.

What you bring:

• You possess a high level of consultation, negotiation, and communication skills enabling you to promote shared understanding among business stakeholders and ICT professionals regarding proposed solutions.
• Your strong written and verbal communication abilities allow you to prepare concise responses, submissions, presentations, and briefs tailored for diverse audiences.
• You demonstrate exceptional documentation skills that convey critical aspects of technical solutions clearly in alignment with existing standards.
• You have proven experience in End User Computing operations as well as ICT infrastructure management including analytical abilities for identifying technical challenges.
• Your knowledge extends to Microsoft Teams Video Conferencing hardware, Follow-Me Printing concepts, Mobile & Desktop End User Computing technologies which are vital for supporting modern workplaces.
• You bring solid technical experience solving problems related to network-aware software and hardware within contemporary ICT environments.
• Your ability to prioritise tasks efficiently ensures deadlines are met professionally while utilising initiative under minimal supervision.
• You adhere strictly to ITSM practices such as incident management and change management contributing positively to operational stability.
• You understand project-relevant network services including 802.1x (wired & wireless) as well as 802.1q protocols which underpin secure connectivity.
• You have sufficient experience analysing requirements for migration projects such as transitioning from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
