Investment Systems Lead (Associate Director)

We are partnering with a purpose-driven investment organisation undergoing significant growth and transformation to appoint an experienced Investment Systems Lead.

The Opportunity

The Investment Systems Lead will be responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and optimising the technology platforms that enable investment activities across the organisation.

You will work closely with investment, operations, and technology stakeholders to ensure systems across deal flow, portfolio monitoring, CRM, and asset management are scalable, secure, and aligned to business needs.

This role combines hands-on systems leadership with stakeholder engagement, vendor management, process improvement, and emerging AI capability enablement across the investment technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Systems & Platform Delivery

• Lead the analysis, design, implementation, and support of investment technology platforms including CRM, deal management, portfolio monitoring, and asset management systems
• Drive platform optimisation, process automation, and operational efficiency initiatives
• Support the configuration and enhancement of investment systems to align with evolving business needs

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership

• Partner closely with investment and operational teams to identify opportunities for technology improvement
• Drive user adoption, training, and ongoing engagement across core platforms
• Manage system change governance, demand management, and platform roadmaps
• Support collaboration with external stakeholders through investment management platforms

Vendor & Service Management

• Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers
• Support procurement activities, vendor negotiations, and ongoing service performance management
• Ensure solutions are delivered effectively, securely, and cost-efficiently

AI & Innovation

• Provide leadership across AI-enabled capabilities within investment platforms and operational tools
• Translate AI strategy into practical systems improvements and innovation opportunities
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI to improve reporting, workflows, and investment operations

Security, Risk & Compliance

• Partner with technology security and operational risk teams to ensure platforms are secure, compliant, and effectively governed
• Maintain documentation, operating procedures, and knowledge-sharing practices across systems

About You

You are a commercially minded technology professional with strong investment systems expertise and a passion for building scalable, high-performing platforms within complex environments.

You will bring:

• 7+ years’ experience delivering and supporting investment or financial services technology solutions
• Strong understanding of private markets, investment management, or asset management environments
• Hands-on experience with investment management platforms, CRM systems, SaaS technologies, and cloud-based solutions
• Experience driving technology change, user adoption, and process improvement initiatives
• Knowledge of AI capabilities within enterprise platforms and operational workflows
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across business and technical teams
• Excellent project delivery, vendor management, and problem-solving capabilities
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and modern delivery practices
