Integration Developer

Save job

This position offers you the chance to work on both business as usual and continuous improvement initiatives, while also collaborating closely with project services teams to deliver impactful projects. You will be empowered to lead technical discussions, provide specialist advice, and ensure that all solutions adhere to best practices and internal standards.

What you'll do:

As an Integration Developer, you will immerse yourself in a variety of challenging assignments that span the entire software development lifecycle. Your days will involve engaging directly with business users to elicit requirements, designing enterprise-grade integration solutions using leading technologies such as C#, .NET, and Azure Integration Services. You will take ownership of developing APIs - leveraging both RESTful and SOAP protocols - to connect critical applications across the organisation. Working alongside project services teams, you will help drive successful project delivery by applying your technical expertise in both greenfield projects and ongoing system enhancements. Your commitment to quality will shine through as you document your work meticulously, troubleshoot issues efficiently, and contribute actively to the evolution of best practice standards within the team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday, values collaboration with knowledgeable colleagues, and seeks opportunities for continuous learning.

  • Collaborate with internal business customers to understand their requirements and translate them into effective software solutions that meet organisational needs.
  • Design, develop, implement, integrate, fix, and maintain complex application systems using C#, .NET, and Azure Integration Services.
  • Lead technical discussions with stakeholders across the full software development lifecycle, providing expert guidance on integration strategies and best practices.
  • Work closely with project services team members to deliver high-quality project outcomes within agreed timelines and standards.
  • Research new technologies and approaches to continuously improve existing systems and processes, ensuring solutions remain current and effective.
  • Develop APIs using REST or SOAP protocols to facilitate seamless integration between applications within the enterprise ecosystem.
  • Utilise Azure DevOps pipelines for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), ensuring efficient delivery of reliable software releases.
  • Document all aspects of solution design, implementation, testing, and support activities in accordance with internal standards.
  • Provide ongoing support for deployed solutions, troubleshooting issues promptly and implementing fixes as required to maintain system stability.
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of best practice guidelines for software development within the team.

What you bring:

To excel as an Integration Developer in this environment, you will bring a wealth of practical experience gained from working on complex software projects across multiple stages of the SDLC. Your background should include significant exposure to enterprise-level solution design - particularly leveraging C#, .NET technologies, and cloud-based platforms like Azure Integration Services. You are adept at building robust APIs that facilitate smooth data exchange between disparate systems while adhering strictly to security protocols. Your familiarity with modern DevOps practices ensures you can streamline deployments using tools such as Azure DevOps pipelines. Beyond technical prowess, your success will be underpinned by your ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams - listening carefully to user needs, communicating clearly with colleagues from various backgrounds, and supporting others through knowledge sharing. A proactive approach towards documentation ensures continuity within the team while your attention to detail helps maintain high standards throughout every phase of solution delivery.

  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification or possess equivalent experience demonstrating competency in software development roles.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, implementation, integration, testing, deployment, support, and documentation.
  • Showcase proven ability in designing enterprise-grade solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Exhibit strong hands-on experience developing complex application systems using C#, .NET framework, and Azure Integration Services.
  • Display proficiency in implementing APIs using RESTful or SOAP protocols for seamless application integration within large-scale environments.
  • Have practical experience utilising Azure DevOps pipelines for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Possess Microsoft Certification (such as AZ 204) or demonstrate substantial experience working with Azure Integration Services in production settings.
  • Bring excellent interpersonal skills that enable effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear communication with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining up-to-date documentation throughout the development process for transparency and knowledge sharing purposes.
