About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Python/React Developer to join our dynamic team on an initial 6-month contract. As part of a global organisation, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that make an impact worldwide. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Python for back-end development and React.js for front-end development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software products.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Optimise application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and consistency across the development team.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and frameworks to continuously improve development processes.
- Contribute to the deployment and maintenance of cloud-based solutions.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Python Developer, with expertise in building robust back-end systems.
- Strong proficiency in React.js, including component-based architecture and state management libraries (e.g., Redux).
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and integration between front-end and back-end systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is highly desirable.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL/NoSQL) and ORM frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated when working independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines and containerisation tools like Docker/Kubernetes.
