Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant – FinTech | Melbourne The Company High-growth Fintech business operating across Australia and APAC. The business is scaling rapidly, offering a dynamic environment with strong exposure to transaction-heavy, regulated financial operations.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end financial accounting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting in a fast-paced payments environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver month-end close (journals, accruals, reconciliations)
• Maintain general ledger integrity and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support statutory reporting and financial statement preparation
• Assist with audit and compliance requirements
• Manage BAS, GST and regulatory reporting
• Support system/process improvements in a high-volume payments environment

Key Requirements

• Ideally Top 4 CA Qualified
• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant
• Background in financial services, fintech, payments or high-volume environments
• Strong understanding of AASB and reporting standards
• Hands-on, able to hit the ground running immediately

Contract Details

• 6 month contract
• Immediate start preferred
• Melbourne-based | Hybrid working
