Financial Accountant
Pernod Ricard are seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Sydney CBD team. This role offers a blend of financial accounting and systems responsibilities, partnering with Finance and IT to improve reporting accuracy and system efficiency. - Financial reporting, reconciliations, statutory & group reporting. - JDE maintenance, system integration's & issue resolution. - Drive process improvements across finance systems and reporting.
What you'll do:
- Support quarter-end financial reporting by gathering data, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate submissions across Australia and New Zealand.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, complete journals, and resolve outstanding items.
- Process general ledger journals and maintain accurate records to support compliance and controls.
- Prepare consolidation schedules and support group reporting requirements.
- Assist with external audits by providing information and responding to auditor queries.
- Maintain the E1 chart of accounts, including business unit structures and account updates.
- Review E1 transactions and unposted batches, resolving system issues and ensuring timely processing.
- Provide JDE general ledger system support and assist with finance system queries.
- Prepare sundry invoices, ensuring correct tax treatment and business requirements are met.
What you'll bring:
- CA/ CPA qualification or working towards.
- Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) or similar financial systems is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of reconciliations and financial reporting processes.
- Intermediate Excel skills with the ability to manage complex spreadsheets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Demonstrated integrity and accountability when managing financial information.
- Willingness to support finance systems projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
