Financial Controller

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Financial Controller to join a global organisation within the critical minerals sector. Based in Karrinyup, you will work within a close-knit corporate team while overseeing a broad finance portfolio across Australian and international operations. The role will also involve approximately 3–4 days per month at the Greenbushes operation for at least the first six months.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Financial Controller to join an established global organisation operating within the critical minerals sector.

Based in Karrinyup, you will join a small corporate office of approximately 3–4 people and have your own dedicated office. The role will also involve spending approximately 3–4 days per month at the Greenbushes operation, around 2.5 hours from Perth, for at least the first six months.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a broad, hands-on position offering exposure across operations in Australia, the United States and Japan. You will also manage and support a small finance team located at Greenbushes.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage monthly financial reporting and consolidation of Group results across Australia, the US and Japan
• Lead and support the finance team based at Greenbushes
• Prepare and manage weekly cash-flow forecasts
• Review BAS, FBT and quarterly royalty returns
• Prepare annual IFRS financial statements
• Support tax-return preparation and associated compliance requirements
• Coordinate annual budgets and financial planning activities
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Partner with key stakeholders across corporate and operational environments

About you

You will be a professional, reliable and hands-on finance professional who enjoys working within a smaller team and taking ownership of a varied accounting portfolio.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Degree qualification in Accounting
• CA or CPA qualification
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting capability
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence working with stakeholders across multiple locations
• Willingness to travel to Greenbushes approximately 3–4 days per month initially

Previous experience within the mining, resources or mineral processing sector is advantageous but not essential.
