What you'll do:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing critical aspects of the organisation’s financial operations. Your day to day activities will involve preparing detailed reports that inform strategic decisions, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations, supporting budgeting processes, and collaborating with colleagues across departments. You will also play an important role in communicating financial information effectively to diverse audiences, identifying areas for process improvement within the finance function. Success in this role requires you to be highly detail oriented, dependable, and committed to fostering an inclusive environment. Your ability to work collaboratively will help drive operational efficiency while supporting the overall growth of the business.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including detailed variance analysis, to support strategic decision-making at all levels of the organisation.
- Deliver comprehensive end-of-month reporting and financial statements for board review, ensuring clarity and precision in all documentation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory frameworks, and tax obligations by overseeing revenue recognition processes and validating project invoicing accuracy.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and pricing analysis for projects as well as broader business development activities throughout the year.
- Validate financial data and provide actionable insights during every stage of the project life cycle to enhance organisational performance.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to improve financial understanding and accountability across departments, fostering a culture of transparency.
- Communicate complex financial information clearly to various audiences, including non-financial stakeholders, ensuring everyone is informed and engaged.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance function and implement best practices to drive operational efficiency.
What you'll bring:
- A relevant degree in accounting or commerce, and Chartered Accountant or CPA membership
- Proven experience of at least five years in accounting roles with increasing responsibility
- Exceptional analytical abilities paired with a keen eye for detail which allows you to deliver accurate results consistently
- Excellent communication skills enabling you to convey complex financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines
