What you'll do:

As the Quality, Risk and Compliance Manager based in Adelaide, you will play an instrumental role in developing strategic frameworks that underpin organisational integrity. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to embed quality assurance processes into every aspect of operations. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives that elevate service delivery standards while chairing key committees responsible for driving quality management. By establishing comprehensive risk management systems, you will proactively identify potential challenges and provide actionable guidance to mitigate them. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining compliance with evolving legislation through regular audits and stakeholder engagement. Success in this role requires you to nurture positive relationships across all levels of the organisation while delivering impactful training programmes that build collective competence. You will also oversee accurate documentation of all quality, risk, and compliance activities—ensuring audit trails are maintained for regulatory reporting. Your ability to analyse data trends will inform strategic decision-making at the executive level.

  • Foster and champion a culture of quality, risk awareness, and compliance throughout the organisation by engaging with cross-functional teams and embedding these principles into all business activities.
  • Manage and support the Quality, Risk and Compliance Officer in their duties while providing guidance for their professional growth.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive cross-organisational training programmes designed to enhance competence in quality assurance, risk management, and compliance activities.
  • Design, implement, and manage an integrated quality management system aligned with organisational objectives and industry best practices.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery and customer satisfaction through collaborative efforts.
  • Chair the Quality Management Committee by preparing meeting agendas, overseeing workplans, and ensuring effective reporting to executive stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain a robust risk management framework that identifies, assesses, mitigates, and monitors operational and strategic risks across the organisation.
  • Provide expert training and guidance to staff on risk awareness and mitigation strategies while preparing detailed risk reports for senior management.
  • Oversee compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures by conducting regular audits and reviews to ensure alignment with internal standards and external requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies by actioning findings from external audits promptly and advising on legislative changes impacting the organisation.

  • Qualification in business management, risk management or related discipline is essential for this position.
  • At least three years of recent experience as a manager in a risk-related field such as audit, risk management or business strategy is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of principles relating to quality assurance, continuous improvement methodologies, and risk compliance is vital.
  • Demonstrated understanding of statutory, regulatory, legal requirements as well as current government policies relevant to risk management practices outlined in International Standard AS/NZ ISO 31000:2009 is necessary.
  • Proven ability to provide advice that influences organisational decision-making processes through clear recommendations.
  • Experience developing and delivering training programmes focused on enhancing competencies in quality assurance, risk management or compliance is highly valued.
  • Exceptional communication skills combined with strong interpersonal abilities are needed to foster positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively so deadlines are met alongside reporting requirements without compromising attention to detail.
  • Experience working independently as well as collaboratively within teams demonstrates adaptability within diverse environments.
  • High-level digital capability including proficiency using Microsoft Office suite plus other databases such as CRMs is expected; meticulous attention to detail coupled with excellent documentation skills are critical.
