As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing all aspects of product costing within our clients manufacturing environment. You'll work closley with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and finance, to ensure accurate cost reporting and provide insights that drive efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain accurate costing models for all products
• Manage and update bill of materials (BOM) to reflect changes in production processes or raw material costs
• Analyze production costs, including labor, overheads, and raw materials, to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Perform variance analysis between actual costs and standard costs; investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with production teams to understand workflows and ensure accurate cost allocation
• Prepare detailed cost reports for management to support pricing decisions and profitability analysis
• Monitor inventory valuation and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to production costs
• Assist with financial audits by providing relevant costing data

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or Management Accountant within a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing experience highly regarded)
• Strong knowledge of costing principles, BOM management, and production costings
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) for costing and inventory management
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with food manufacturing processes or FMCG industries
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to food production (e.g., HACCP)
• Experience implementing process improvements within costing functions
