Payroll Manager

A leading organisation in Brisbane is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee the seamless delivery of payroll services throughout the business. This is a permanent and full time position based in Brisbane.

As Payroll Manager based in Brisbane, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth operation of all aspects of payroll for a diverse workforce. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing the entire payroll cycle from start to finish while ensuring every payment is processed correctly and on time. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with complex Australian legislation while also managing reconciliations and statutory reporting.

What you'll do:

• Manage the complete processing of payroll for approximately 400+ employees across several business entities.
• Review and approve payroll runs prior to finalisation, verifying all calculations, deductions, allowances, entitlements and adjustments are correct and compliant with relevant legislation.
• Lead year-end payroll activities including reconciliations and statutory reporting to meet all regulatory deadlines.
• Prepare ad-hoc reporting based around payroll metrics for senior management.

In this Payroll Manager position you will bring proven experience running comprehensive payroll operations within sizeable organisations where compliance is critical. Your background includes not only technical proficiency with industry-standard payroll systems but also an in-depth understanding of current Australian payroll legislation.

What you'll bring:

• Demonstrated experience managing an end-to-end payroll function within a medium to large organisation where accuracy was paramount.
• Proven track record processing high-volume weekly payrolls using payroll software's.
• Proven experience in a senior payroll position with a large scale payrun.
• Strong Microsoft excel skills highly regarded.
