Project Accountant

Join a growing property development business as a Project Accountant based in South Yarra. This role offers the opportunity to manage financial aspects across multiple development projects, including settlements, reconciliations, and reporting. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, supporting key project milestones while ensuring accuracy, meeting deadlines, and contributing to continuous process improvements in a fast paced environment

We’re partnering with a growing property business to recruit a Project Accountant to join their high-performing finance team. With multiple new sites coming online, this is a great opportunity to step into a dynamic environment working across both established and upcoming projects.

The Role:

This role will see you take ownership of financial management across a portfolio of development projects, supporting the business through key project milestones and ongoing operational finance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project accounting across multiple development sites (new and existing)
• Oversee settlements, project accounts and entity set-ups
• Support banking and payment processes
• Perform reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Assist with month-end processes and reporting
• Ensure key deadlines are met across multiple projects
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies

About You

• Proven experience in project accounting, ideally within property development or real estate
• Strong understanding of end-to-end project financial management
• Experience with NetSuite (highly regarded)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders
• Able to follow processes while also thinking proactively and independently
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
