Executive Manager- Compliance
A leading international investment management business is seeking an experienced compliance professional to lead its compliance function across Ausrtalia & Asia. This is a senior regional role offering the opportunity to work closely with executive leadership, influence strategic decision-making and oversee compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Supporting both investment management and distribution activities, you'll ensure regional regulatory requirements are effectively managed while aligning with global governance standards. You'll act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, helping navigate an increasingly complex regulatory landscape and fostering a strong culture of compliance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the regional compliance programme across Australia & Asia.
- Provide strategic regulatory advice to senior business leaders on new initiatives and ongoing business activities.
- Oversee compliance for investment management and fund distribution across the region.
- Review marketing and client communications to ensure regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Monitor investment restrictions, client guidelines, regulatory obligations and compliance reporting.
- Lead compliance investigations, issue management and remediation activities.
- Partner with legal, risk and regional compliance teams on regulatory engagement and policy implementation.
- Adapt global compliance frameworks to reflect local regulatory and operational requirements.
- Develop and deliver compliance training that promotes a strong culture of integrity and accountability.
- Lead and develop a regional compliance team while building strong relationships across the wider organisation.
- Prepare reporting and provide insight on compliance risks, trends and governance matters to senior management.
About You
You'll be an experienced compliance leader with a background in asset management or investment funds and a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks across Asia.
You'll bring:
- 10–15 years' compliance experience within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of regional regulatory environments across Asia-Pacific.
- Experience supporting investment management and distribution businesses.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes.
- A commercial, pragmatic approach to managing regulatory risk.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Experience working within a global organisation is highly regarded.
