Senior Fund Accountant

Our client is a leading independent Australian financial services firm specialising in funds management, private equity and corporate advisory. They are seeking a Fund Accountant to join their growing Sydney finance team in a broad role offering exposure to fund accounting, financial reporting and investment operations. About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Fund Accounting, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing month-end fund accounting processes and NAV calculations.
• Preparing management accounts and financial statements.
• Performing reconciliations, journal entries and variance analysis.
• Supporting capital calls, investor distributions and fund cash management.
• Liaising with external fund administrators, auditors and tax advisers.
• Working closely with investment teams and key internal stakeholders.
• Assisting with new fund launches and process improvement initiatives.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience within the accounting or fund accounting function of a financial services organisation.
• Experience within funds management, asset management, investment management or private equity.
• CA/CPA qualification (or currently working towards).
• Strong financial reporting and fund accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
